Everyone is headed for Hell.
Can anything change that?
If God is holy, if God is pure, if God is just... we cannot visit Him nor pray to Him. Our sinful nature and sinful past forbid this.
Like Isaiah, "Woe is me! For I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts."
Is there anything we can "do" about it? Can anyone by act of will or deed attain to God's sinless perfection? No, that's like having a swimming contest from California to Hawaii. No one can do it.
The distance is too far. Nor can we undo all the wrong we have done. There's not enough time.
Nor can we stop sinning from now on. There's not the ability because this includes to stop having sinful thoughts. That's where physical sins come from and also whereby our "good" is tainted with
fear, prejudice, greed, pride, conceit, arrogance, and, well, you name it.
Will we presume on God's love and mercy? Will everyone eventually go to heaven? I guess that's up to God, isn't it? He is the One offended, so He is the One Who says who goes to be with Him and who
will never see Him again (AKA Hell). But whichever religion you subscribe to, let's all agree that whatever the outcome, no one will accuse God of being unfair.
These are the choices that are available to us: The Eternal Scale whereby our good and evil are weighed and whatever side is heavier determines our final dwelling place (courtesy of Islam and
Judaism); lots of God's of varying passions and no certain future except whatever fate or caprice allow (courtesy of Buddhism, Hinduism, Paganism, and Animism); Atheism, also known as "You Bet Your
Life (that there's no eternity)"; An Eternal Pardon secured by Jesus' sacrificial death and our acceptance of it and Him as God's Son (courtesy of Christianity).
What's your choice?
